1. Who we are
Market Tolk is a platform for reading US financial market conditions, operated by 5V LLC (“Market Tolk”, “we”, “us”). This Policy explains how we process personal data from users (“you”) across the Portuguese, English, and Spanish versions of the platform.

2. Data we collect
Data you provide
Account: name, email, and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted/hashed form, never as plain text.
Payment for paid plans: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; the processor handles payment data under its own terms.
Communications: messages you send us for support or partnerships.
Automatically collected data
Usage data: pages and readings accessed, frequency, and watchlist activity.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, and language.
Cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).
We do not collect sensitive data or data from minors. The platform is not intended for users under 18.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to generate personalized investment recommendations; product output is identical for all users by compliance design.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with processors necessary to operate the service:
Hosting and infrastructure: DigitalOcean
Payment processing: Stripe
Market data and analytics: FMP, Alpaca
Each processor handles data only under our instructions and for the purposes above. We may also disclose data to comply with law, court order, or to protect rights.
5. International transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you access from Brazil, Latin America, or the European Union, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We use contractual safeguards with our processors for these transfers, consistent with LGPD and GDPR where applicable.
6. Retention
We keep data while your account exists and for the period needed to comply with legal, tax, and defense obligations. After account closure, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (LGPD in Brazil, GDPR in the EU, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent, and, in California, the right not to have data sold. 8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and security and, where required, analytics cookies with consent. You can manage cookies in your browser.
9. Security
We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access control. No system is 100% secure; if a relevant incident occurs, we will notify as required by law.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated on the platform or by email. The date above indicates the latest update.
